Helping Hearts CPR LLC is certified by the American Heart Association. Our instructors, who bring years of real-life experience in delivering CPR training, provide engaging CPR classes that cover both Adult and Pediatric CPR training, along with first aid certification for individuals and healthcare providers of all ages. We utilize a hands-on educational approach to ensure effective learning, and we also offer SAME DAY CERTIFICATION, bringing CPR certification directly to your location while addressing important topics like choking.
Our CPR classes offer a comprehensive training curriculum that aligns with current guidelines, helping you achieve your first aid certification. Through our hands-on educational approach, you will develop the skills and confidence necessary to respond effectively in emergencies, including managing choking incidents, so you can act decisively when it matters most.
Every class includes hands-on skills practice and your certification card the same day. In-person classes are all-inclusive with no separate testing fee. Our blended option adds an online learning portion billed directly by the American Heart Association.
One student, one instructor, scheduled around you. Adult, child and infant CPR plus AED and choking response. Best if you need a card fast or want undivided attention.
Scheduled group sessions held at the Longo Room in Jersey City. Same curriculum, same-day card, lower per-person cost. Ideal for families, students and small teams.
We bring the manikins and AED trainers to your office, gym, daycare or job site anywhere in Hudson County. Certify your whole staff in one visit with no travel time lost.
Group discount: 10 percent off per person for groups of 10 or more. Ask about rates for students, nursing candidates and childcare staff. Prefer to do the coursework online first? We also offer a blended option: you complete the online portion through the American Heart Association, then finish your hands-on skills check with us. The AHA online course is paid directly to the AHA and typically runs $17 to $38 depending on the course. Our in-person skills check is $95, so a blended certification usually comes to $112 to $133 total.

12 is the minimum age and no medical background required to take a CPR class. To earn a certification card you must complete the course content and pass a hands-on skills check, demonstrating compressions and rescue breaths on a manikin and correct AED use. At Helping Hearts CPR in Jersey City, NJ, the skills check happens during your class and you leave with your card the same day.
Helping Hearts CPR in Jersey City charges $150 for a 1:1 certification and $85 per person for a group class. On-site workplace training is $85 per person with a five person minimum, and groups of 10 or more get 10 percent off. For in-person classes that price is all-inclusive: your certification card, the hands-on skills test and all course materials, with no separate testing fee. The blended option works differently: the online learning portion is billed directly by the American Heart Association and typically runs $17 to $38 depending on the course, and our in-person skills check is $95. A blended certification usually totals $112 to $133.
It depends on who is asking for the card. A fully online, video-only CPR course with no hands-on component is generally not accepted by employers, nursing programs, or childcare licensing. Blended courses, where you do the coursework online and then complete an in-person skills check, are widely accepted. Helping Hearts CPR in Jersey City offers both formats. You can take a fully in-person class, or take the blended route: complete the online portion through the American Heart Association, paid directly to the AHA and typically $17 to $38 depending on the course, then finish your hands-on skills check with us for $95. Either way the skills check is built in and the card is accepted by employers across Hudson County.
Start with who is requiring it. Healthcare workers, nursing students and EMTs usually need a BLS provider level course. Teachers, coaches, personal trainers, childcare staff and new parents usually need a lay responder course covering adult, child and infant CPR, AED use and choking. If nobody is requiring it and you simply want to be ready at home, a lay responder class is the right fit. If you are unsure which version your employer requires check with them before booking.
Most cardiac arrests happen at home, in front of someone who knows the person. Immediate bystander CPR can meaningfully improve the odds of survival, and it is usually a family member, coworker or coach who is standing there, not a paramedic. Beyond that, many jobs require a current card: nursing and allied health programs, childcare and daycare licensing, personal training certifications, coaching and lifeguarding.
CPR certification cards are typically valid for two years from the date of issue. Renewal means retaking a course and passing the skills check again, not just paying a fee. Helping Hearts CPR handles renewals the same way as first-time certification, including same-day cards, so you are not left with a lapsed card while you wait.
Yes. Helping Hearts CPR issues your certification card the day you complete the class. If you have a job start date, a clinical rotation, or a licensing deadline this week, say so when you book and we will schedule around it.
